Our School

Sir P.S. Sivaswami Ayyar, a well known advocate, a visionary and a philanthropist, a pioneer in women’s education had perpetuated and sustained a girls’ school for over 100 years at Mylapore, Chennai and a school for boys at Tirukattupalli, Thanjavur. The benevolent philanthropist, magnanimously sold his palatial home to finance and sustain the Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls’ School.

On the 125 Birth Anniversary of Sir P.S.Sivaswami Ayyar, the NBGES, as a tribute to him, planned to start a CBSE co-educational school at ‘Sudharma’ the building constructed to commemorate his birth centenary.

Aptly, then the school was named after the founder, who had by then established two leading schools each one with a different flavour and catering to two different segments.
