Arts & Crafts
Students are taught drawing, painting, water colour techniques, still-life composition and charcoal-based art work. The school has taken the initiative of providing exclusive training to the students in Folk, Art, Madhubani and Wadi. In fact, it is the only school in Chennai currently, to cater to this segment which is a unique distinction.
Visual Arts
A special feature that deserves mention is that the theory pertaining to dance acquired by a professional through years of dedicated practice is imparted to the students right from UKG onwards. At each step, dance thus becomes a thrilling discovery and the possibilities seem endless.
Music
The school provides in-depth training to the students in music. Children are encouraged to participate in a host of competitions and have consistently won innumerable laurels by their mellifluous renderings. The musical maestros of Kalalaya showcase their talents during the Tyagaraja Aradhana celebrated in the school.
Smart Boards
Smart boards have been installed to make the teaching learning process more vibrant, interesting, interactive and interactive and enthusiastic.
Stem Robotics
STEM Robotics Lab has promoted hands on conceptual learning in children from classes III to IX. We are following a structured curriculum.
Google for Education
Our senior classes are given assignments by their teachers using the Google for Education platform. This is a tool to share and disseminate paperless assignments study materials in an organised manner.
WI-FI
The school has a completely wi-fi enabled campus, where each class room and the lab is wi-fi enabled.
Library
The school has a well stocked LIBRARY and a qualified librarian. Students are encouraged to borrow and read books.
Computer Lab
The school has a Well-equipped computer lab with all latest hardware and software. Students from class II upwards are introduced to the basics of computer science. A separate graded curriculum is drawn up for each level.
Counseling
We have a full time student counselor (Health and Wellness teacher) to provide counseling services, in addition to educational and vocational guidance.
Sports
The school encourages all sporting activities. Students are provided with facilities to play various games during their games period and coaching facilities are available in Basketball and Karate. Yoga classes are also conducted to ensure the physical well being of students and staff. In addition to mass P.T. introduction of a few more activities are on the anvil.

Creche Facility
The students of kalalaya can avail of this facility from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on all days and 9.00 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, except second Saturdays, Sundays and Government holidays.
Technology – Aided Communication & Security System
All communication and key information will be posted in the web site www.sirsivaswamikalalaya.org. SMS services are extended to parents at the time of emergencies.
CC TV Camera
CC TV cameras have been installed at all key locations in and around the school as per the Government order.
